Finas receives six BMW 740Le xDrive M Sport for 32nd Malaysian Film Festival

BMW Group Malaysia and Seong Hoe Premium Motors provided an official fleet of six 740Le xDrive M Sport to the National Film Development Corporation (FINAS) for the 32nd Malaysian Film Festival in Melaka.

The top five nominees of each category were treated to a special chauffeur ride in the hybrid luxury sedans from the BMW 7 Series portfolio, offering them an exclusive experience of electrified opulence.

The BMW Shorties has served as an influential platform by BMW Group Malaysia to encourage and support the creative expressions of emerging Malaysian filmmakers and digital content creators over the last 16 years.

Over 1,000 entries have been submitted to the BMW Shorties for its annual short film competition since 2006, many of which have been screened at prestigious international film festivals including Cannes (France), New York (US), Rotterdam (Netherlands), Oberhausen (Germany), Rome (Italy) and Clermont-Ferrand (France) among others.

Globally, the BMW Group is no stranger to the filmmaking scene, having been a patron of the arts for over 80 years.

From the 1935 German film ‘Die Katz’ im Sack’ (The cat in the sack) to the recent Marvel Studios production, ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’, the premium automaker continues to find new ways to champion the creative industry worldwide.
