BMW Motorrad Malaysia has announced the arrival of its new K 1600 B to further expand its local touring motorcycle portfolio.
Priced at RM173,500 on-the-road without insurance and is accompanied by a three-year warranty as well as a three-year Roadside Assistance Programmes while colour options include Black Storm Metallic and Manhattan Metallic Matte (Style Exclusive).

The latest generation of the “Bagger” gets its propulsion from a 1,649cc in-line six-cylinder engine (with Engine Protection Guard) producing 160hp at 6,750rpm and 180Nm of torque at 5,250rpm.
Power is sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed helical-toothed transmission (with Reverse Assistant) paired with a multi-disc clutch that sits in an oil bath and allows it to cruise up to a top speed of 200kph (180kph with floorboards) while having the ability to sip on 5.9 litres per 100km at best.
The centrepiece of the suspension is the cast aluminium bridge-type frame, which is complemented by the BMW Motorrad Duolever on a central spring strut suspension in the front, while the rear suspension is offered via the BMW Motorrad Paralever.

Illumination comes from a full-LED headlight featuring Light ICon and Adaptive Cornering Light that’s accompanied by LED auxiliary lights and ground-level lighting while the rear-end features LED indicators and brake lights integrated into its side cases.
The Bagger’s styling is further defined by a shortened windscreen and forged handlebars while a host of features further raises its abilities including the BMW Motorrad Integral ABS Pro and the Automatic Stability Control (ASC), along with three riding modes of Rain, Road and Dynamic.
Further adding to the list is engine brake control (MSR), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Hill Start Control (HSC), electronic cruise control, as well as Dynamic ESA Next Generation (with Automatic Load Levelling) to help ensure optimum handling and riding dynamics. Gear Shift Assistant Pro, Reverse Assistant, and Tyre Pressure Control (RDC) are also found as standard.

Riders can also enjoy the onboard computer featuring a 10.25-inch colour TFT display with Connectivity and Integrated Map Navigation powered by the BMW Motorrad Connected App, along with a USB Type-C charging storage compartment for mobile phones.
Meanwhile, riders will be able to configure four ‘favourite’ buttons on the cluster for further intuitive operation, while the Keyless Ride system simply adds a whole new level of convenience and security.
Further adding to the Bagger’s value proposition is the inclusion of optional equipment that have been made as standard, including the Anti-Theft Alarm and Central Locking System and the Audio System 2.0.

The Bagger can also be fitted with Floorboards for comfortable long-distance riding, while the low height of the newly-designed seat is said to ensure maximum comfort and easy access.
To further personalise the New BMW K 1600 B, owners also have the option to accessorise it with a variety of Original BMW Motorrad Accessories ranging from storage, connectivity, appearance or ergonomics and comfort.
