Following the recent launch of BYD in Malaysia by Sime Darby Motors, more than 1,000 orders have been garnered within the first two weeks for the BYD Atto 3.

The all-electric sports utility vehicle is built on the China-based company’s e-platform 3.0 and is touted to be able to travel up to 480km on a single charge.

The Atto 3 is currently available in two variants with prices starting from RM149,800 for the entry-level Standard Range and RM167,800 for the Extended Range.

Colour choices include Surf Blue, Parkour Red, Boulder Grey, Forest Green and Ski White.

Gan added that the BYD brand already has its first showroom opened and is located at TREC KL on Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur.
