To ensure safe driving during Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Computerised Vehicle Inspection Centre (Puspakom) is providing free inspections for drivers and private vehicle owners.

Free inspections will be provided at certain Puspakom outlets from April 10 until April 20.

Its Mobile Inspection Units (MIU) will also be involved but only at selected locations to be listed on its website and Puspakom Sdn Bhd Facebook page.

The Puspakom branches that are not participating in the free inspection service include Shah Alam, Taman Bukit Maluri, Kuala Lumpur and Pasir Gudang.

Safety will be the main focus which will include items such as brake discs, brake pads, shock absorbers, carbon dioxide emissions, tyre treadwear, front headlights and rear light cluster and the condition of the undercarriage among others.

Those who wish to have their vehicle(s) checked may walk into a participating Puspakom branch or visit participating MIUs located nationwide and will not have to pay the usual RM100 fee required.
