MME 2022 – the voltaic selection!

As the inaugural Malaysia Motor Expo (MME) 2022 gets into the swing of things at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) here are a few ‘electrifying’ reasons for you to grace the event!

From now until Nov 13, this year’s MME can expect to find nine major car brands including Ford, Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia, Hyundai, KIA, Mazda, Perodua, Peugeot, Subaru and Volvo with more promised for next year!

Found within Hall 4 of KLCC this weekend, here are some of MME 2022 latest electrified offerings starting with GWM’s fully-electric hatchback – the Ora Good Cat – a literal translation from Ora “Haomao” in China.

Although prices of the Ora Good Cat have yet to be announced, it is estimated that this could be Malaysia’s most affordable all-electric hatchback once it arrives with four variants for choice and a price tag that could start from under the RM150,000 mark.

Slated for arrival in Malaysia within the coming weeks, GWM – China’s largest sports utility vehicle (SUV) and pickup truck manufacturer, has officially announced it will be opening its order books during MME 2022 from Nov 12 onwards.

Patrons will have the opportunity to pre-book the Ora Haomao during MME 2022 and be among the first to purchase the Ora Good Cat once it receives its official launch date.

KIA is currently featuring its first fully-electric SUV – specifically the all-wheel-driven EV6 GT Line, that’s been fully imported from South Korea.

About MME

The organisers of MME began their activities more than 11 years ago and the event was first branded as the NST CARnival.

The show’s activities were suspended for more than two years, due to the Covid-19 global pandemic, and along with its resumption, the organisers were able to secure an exclusive endorsement from Malaysia Automotive Robotics and Internet of Things (MARii) – an automotive-focussed agency under the Ministry of International Trade and Industry.

Doing so helped to bring about the inaugural MME which was exclusively sponsored by Grantt Lubricants as the Official Lubricant Partner, Petron as the Official Fuel Partner and Shopee as the Official e-Commerce Partner.
